I am a Multi Award Winning Celebrity Makeup Artist with over 15 years of experience and knowledge who specialises in Bridal and Beauty Makeup. At the age of 14, I found myself creating names for lipsticks and blushes, realizing that this was my calling, determined to follow my dreams I professionally trained in makeup artistry, my studies included subjects such as the theory and practice of colour matching and its psychology, contouring, corrective makeup techniques and the application of a broad range of makeup styles such as Fashion, Photography, TV/Film Makeup and Special Effects graduating with an Advanced Diploma in Makeup Artistry.
Taking my first steps into the industry as Assistant Manager for Lancôme Cosmetics for a year and a half, and Studio Manager for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics for 8 years in Brown Thomas. I had the privilege to attend Master Classes and receive extra training from Bobbi Brown herself in London, a hands-on experience not many have had!
Driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence I seized every opportunity to expand my expertise in beauty pursuing further education, earning a CIBTAC Beauty Therapy Diploma in aesthetic treatments, Lancôme Paris Makeup Expert Diploma, a Gel and Acrylic Nail Diploma, an Eyelash Extension Diploma, a certified HD Brows Stylist. I am a Certified ITEC Makeup Teacher Trainer, I have enriched my own skill set with each qualification and achievement. Working for two of the top go-to brands in the beauty industry equipped me with creative makeup skills and extensive knowledge, empowering me with the confidence and courage to establish my own Makeup Studio, Miss Mercy Makeup Artistry.
Embarking on this incredible journey, I have engaged in various roles across the makeup artistry spectrum from tutoring Masterclasses at esteemed makeup institutions, educating and empowering people who want to work in the makeup industry to conducting private lessons and group workshops at teenage summer camps, Foróige, and parent groups. I devote time to philanthropy, collaborating with Galway Simon for Dress for Success workshops, empowering women to re-enter the workforce with confidence. Guest speaking at women’s conferences, retreats and podcasts in Ireland and in the Uk where I eagerly share insights from my wealth of experience.
I have pursued my dream across the bustling cities in Europe and Africa and been honoured with numerous Makeup Artist and Entrepreneur of The Year awards. Makeup isn’t merely a job it’s my life’s breath, my constant inspiration, waking up consumed by a fiery passion, unable to envision myself doing anything else.
My work has graced the pages of esteemed publications such as the Irish Times, TG4, Connacht Tribune and Galway Now magazine, advertising campaigns for renowned brands including SKY, Visa, Niquitin, Wella, G Hotel, Glenlo Abbey, The Ardilaun Hotel, Miss Universe Ireland, The Habit Store, Lanidor, Gosh Shoes and The Sustainable Studio to name a few.
I have worked as Chief Makeup Artist at prestigious fashion shows conducting Bridal Masterclasses at renowned venues such as the G Hotel and The Hardiman. I have had the honour of working with notable personalities such as TV journalist Elaine Crowley and Irish Popstar Julie Feeney and on movie sets, including working as the Chief Makeup Artist on movie sets in Africa & Europe and have been recognized on IMDB for my work on the movie ‘Heart of A Servant: The Father Flanagan Story,’ released in 2024.
